On April 9, 2026, a significant event in the realm of women’s empowerment took place in Gondia, where the local BJP chapter organized a program titled ‘Nari Shakti Vandan.’ The event celebrated the recent legislation ensuring a 33% reservation for women in both the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies, a historic step in India’s democratic journey. Prominent women leaders such as Aarti Tai Vanakhede and Shyama Tai were present, along with a large contingent from the Gondia Women Front, contributing to the program’s success.
